Alison Maria Krauss est une auteure-compositrice-interprète, musicienne et productrice américaine de bluegrass-country, originaire de Decatur, dans l'Illinois. Elle est également la chanteuse principale de son groupe, Alison Krauss & Union Station, et a sorti quinze albums à ce jour avec son premier album solo, Too Late to Cry, sorti en 1987 et avec celui de son groupe, Two Highways, sorti en 1989. Elle a remporté 27 GRAMMY Awards en 42 nominations à ce jour, son premier étant en 1991 pour le meilleur enregistrement Bluegrass avec la chanson titre de l'album "I've Got That Old Feeling" à l'âge de 19 ans ; elle était alors le deuxième plus jeune gagnant. Cela fait d'elle la chanteuse la plus récompensée à ce jour par un artiste non classique, à égalité avec Quincy Jones, et aussi l'artiste féminine la plus récompensée dans l'histoire des GRAMMY.
