This is the tab for the song Long Distance Call by Phoenix. However this is not
the CD version it is the Take Away Show version from a video on Youtube. If you
use this tab along with watching the video you should get the hang of it. This is
my first tab so bear with me.
CAPO ON 2ND FRET. Finger position in all chords is standard i.e. an E chord in
this tab would still be fingered as 022100. The capo just moves all of the chords
up a whole step so that technically the chord E in this tab would actually be an
F# 244322 I just write it as E because of the finger positioning. Same goes for
the chord is technically but with capo on the 2nd fret it is fingered as 002220.
In short just act as if the capo on the 2nd fret is where the fretboard begins.
Below in addition to the chords on the left which use a capo you can play
without a capo using the finger positioning on the right.
- 224442
E - 244322
- 222454
D(bar 7th fret) - 779997
C#/Dbm - 668876
Where to go I had no idea

26.10 was the price to pay

A messed up kid with no ideals at all
I thought
Those 26.10
I shouldn't give em away
Repeat this until the buildup to the chorus. Listen to the song to get the rhythm
of the transition between chords.
I'm far gone but your long distance call
And your capi-------------tal letters keep me asking for more
It's never been like that
It's never been like that
It's never been like that
It's never been like that
It's never been like that
It's never been like that
D(bar 7)
It's never been like that
It's never been like that no!
I'm far gone but your long distance call
And your capi-------------tal letters keep me asking for more
Pretty much the same throughout the rest of the song. The part that goes
"Long time no see
Long time no say"
uses the same chords as the buildup to the chorus part.
cheers :)
