Josh Rouse (né le 9 mars 1972) est un auteur-compositeur-interprète connu pour ses chansons folk-pop. Pendant toute son enfance, il a déménagé d'un État à l'autre avec ses parents, sans jamais rester assez longtemps au même endroit pour trouver un véritable foyer. Après avoir déménagé d'un endroit à l'autre, il s'est installé à Nashville, avec l'intention d'aller à l'université et d'obtenir un diplôme. Peu de temps après avoir commencé l'université, cependant, il a abandonné et a rencontré des musiciens de la région et a commencé sa carrière d'enregistrement. En 1998, il a sorti son premier album Dressed Up Like Nebraska sous le sous-label Slow River de Rykodisc. Depuis la sortie de son premier album, Rouse a sorti dix autres albums studio sous différents labels. Il vit actuellement à València, en Espagne, où il a déménagé pour être avec sa femme Paz Suay.
