Baez a reçu de nombreux prix pour sa musique, notamment le Grammy Lifetime Achievement et le Grammy Hall of Fame. De sa croyance de toujours en la non-violence, Baez a dit : "Plus vous pratiquerez longtemps la non-violence et ses qualités méditatives dont vous aurez besoin, plus vous serez susceptible de faire quelque chose d'intelligent dans n'importe quelle situation."
