Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (né le 6 mai 1945) est un auteur-compositeur-interprète, guitariste et pianiste américain. Artiste local de la région de Détroit, il s'est produit et a enregistré sous les noms de Bob Seger and the Last Heard et Bob Seger System tout au long des années 1960. Au début des années 1970, il a laissé tomber le "System" de ses enregistrements et a continué à rechercher un plus grand succès avec divers autres groupes. En 1973, il a formé le Silver Bullet Band, avec un groupe de musiciens de la région de Détroit, avec lequel il a connu son plus grand succès au niveau national avec l'album Live Bullet, enregistré en direct avec le Silver Bullet Band en 1975 au Cobo Hall de Détroit, dans le Michigan. Sur ses albums studio, il a également beaucoup travaillé avec la Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, basée en Alabama, qui est apparue sur plusieurs des singles et albums les plus vendus de Seger.
